Is this method covered by insurance plans?
The Feldenkrais Method is considered an alternative medical treatment by the insurance industry, and therefore is not covered by insurance plans. One of our goals is to scientifically prove that the Feldenkrais Method produces results superior to currently accepted treatment methods. This will give us the ammunition to petition the insurance companies.

What is the optimum age to bring a child into your program?
The optimum age to start any child in therapy, depending on the diagnosis, is as soon as possible. The Field Center will accept children just days old.

Are any other Feldenkrais practitioners doing this same type of intervention?
There are no other practitioners utilizing the Feldenkrais Method to the extent and with the expertise that Sheryl Field demonstrates when treating injuries in both children and adults.

What are the qualifications necessary to be considered for the training program?
In order to be considered for The Field Center training program, the candidate must have completed the full Feldenkrais three- year training program. Consideration will then be made.

How is The Field Center funded?
Funding for The Field Center, a non-profit organization, primarily comes from the private sector. Please join the Field Center family by making a pledge using pledge cards included in the "To Make A Donation" tab.

Do you offer any family services?
The Field Center approach involves supporting and educating the entire family.
